Now in our 10th year, we are now operating out of a 6,000 sqft shop sitting on 3 acres. With a vision and a goal to be the Gulf Coast go to canvas & upholstery shop, we spared no expense for our clients. With taking the up most pride in everything we do, and treating every project as if it was our own, quickly those standards, we set ourselves apart from our competitors.

In 2016, it was time for Southern Stitch to Find somewhere to call home forever with room to grow. After passing this abandoned building just before our shop on Creosote, for nearly a decade. We made a move on it. Walking into it for the first time before making an offer, we knew this was home and was going to make it happen one way or the other!

We continue our learning by attending Regional & National workshops by the Marine Fabricators Association ( MFA) and the Advance Textiles Association ( ATA). Also, we are accredited members of both the MFA & ATA. Steven is also a sitting board member of Marine Fabricators Association.

Soon after working from home, we knew we needed to make the next step and get a bigger place to set up shop. Finding a 1000 sqft unit on Creosote Road in Gulfport, Ms. We quickly started to dress it up and make it home for now!

Southern Stitch Canvas & Upholstery, LLC was founded by Steven & Jamie Wayne in 2013. Steven has been fabricating for nearly 20 years currently. We started in our 100 sqft spare bedroom of our home.

In our shop, we have 20 years of combined hands on experience and knowledge of the canvas and upholstery industry.
The name originates from the area, which we are from and will be serving. A trade that has been around for thousands of years and from everything in our daily lives. From the shirt on our back to the sails that sail us at sea. Southern Stitch is not another 9 to 5 shop. We take extreme pride in our Marine Canvas & Upholstery, that’s why here, “All marine work is done for a boater by a boater! " The pride of treating each job as if it was our own runs deep in our roots and expectations. With over 20 years of hands on canvas and upholstery experience, our work is superior to others.
